» Poem: Little Man
Little Man
written by katiemariie

You preach of chivalry, little man
But your armor has faded
And your army's leaving
But your defense is still strong.

You talk of commonplace, little man
But I know you're something more
And you won't admit it
But your impact says it.

You saw me for a short while, little man
But the connection stayed forever
And I try to leave you
But you're a part of me.

You want to talk again, little man
But I know I can't
And if I did, we'd be friends again
But I know you'd leave.

You have a new life now, little man
But so do I
And I can't forget you
But I will try.
