Broken Down

Broken down
My fake smile is
Now a real frown
The feeling in my legs
Shows how weak I am
I want to stand up
But I don't think I can
The tears are falling
I can't stop them from coming
The noise in my head
Is like a God-awful drumming
I find a pulse
In my wrist
I'm still alive
And I didn't slit
I was weak tonight
But strong, too
But I couldn't have done it
Without you
You came along
And offered me your hand
When I said I couldn't get up
You said, "Yes you can."
I'm still fragile
From being broken down
But you helped me through it
