A Broken Heart

Now your love for me don't exist today
But not long ago you said you loved me
And that our love would forever be.
But you lied to me and tore my world apart
Not caring for the damage you did to my heart
How could you do such a cruel thing to me
When I begged you please to just let me be.
You turned my whole world upside down
When you said you would no longer be around
In my heart I still love you so
But now I know I must let you go.
My heart is breaking and I feel so alone
I pray for God not to let it turn to stone
Icy cold fingers of loneliness grips my heart
Because we will now be forever apart. |
