» Poem: If We Had Only Known
If We Had Only Known
written by nicole_lyndon
12:32 PM 4/12/05
I used to see you everyday
And i wondered what it could have been like
If only we had known a few years back
But now its all behind us
And it will never be
Love forgotten, love never known
Breed sorrow from within the heart
If we had only known
How each other had felt
We might now know what it felt like to be in each others arm
To be comforted by each others words
We might know what it felt like to be immersed in each others love
But now the sun has gone down
Below the line where existence stops
Nothing will ever come from feelings once forgotten
For sadness has set in
