» Poem: Flirting With The Dark
Flirting With The Dark
written by anotefromacutter

Its starting to rain,
the thunder claps are loud.
The birds are not in sight,
they arent flying around.

Lightening strikes right outside my window,
I can see the flash through the black curtains.
It's so dark out there,
the dark and I are flirting.

Its so cold outside,
and the down pour makes it colder.
Thunder moves right over my head,
I am the storms beholder.

The nighttime starts,
I just cant see.
Everywhere I go,
this darkness follows me.

A neverending storm,
with a neverending darkness.
The forecast never changes,
and now I couldnt care less.
