Secrets and Lies
written by ieatsmellysocks

Beyond my fake smile and laughter,
Can you tell whats real?
This isn’t my true emotion.
I do not even feel.

I don’t know how well im hiding it.
I always wonder what you see.
This person standing before your eyes,
She isn’t really me.

Sleepless nights turn into miserable days.
Time slips by so fast.
But there isn’t a day I don’t look behind me,
And beat myself up for the past.

When I slice my arm I do not bleed,
And when I cry,I rust.
After all the lies ive heard and told,
Just who am I to trust?
