Path Of Destruction

My body's gone numb and you're the reason why
I met this day with mixed feelings
And now I can't believe how badly my mind is reeling
Set on a path of destruction with no end in sight
Lord save me because I no longer see the point in putting up a fight
I've never felt like this, so torn between joy and rage
I can write all I want and fill page after page
But you'll never see them as they're consumed by fire
I could say that I feel nothing for you but I'd just be another worthless liar
But everything's swirling in my mind, making it hard to tell what's real and what's not
Like some of the dark things from which our worst nightmares are wrought
Am I anything to you?
That question spreads through my body like blood soaking a tissue
I guess this is my only true function, to feel broken and lonely
But that's one of thie things I'll never let you see |
