Let Me Be

I hate all this pretending
I hate all your sympathetic laughs
I am never happy but instead I’m blunt
Blunt as in feeling less
Blunt as in destroyed and washed away
I’m gone
All I leave is my memories
There gone
I’m starting a new life,
With out you and your fatal comments
You are beaten and gone
You don’t deserve happiness
So why is it only me that feels this pain
This pain of pressure
To be stared at
To be punched at
I’m just like you
Maybe even better
So why aren’t I respected
I did nothing to you
And in return you hate me,
Like I never was your son,
But now I’ve left I’m forgetting all that,
I’m keeping my pain inside me this time,
No more cries for help or screams of pain
No more devastating sites of my friends that have left me behind
No more dangers
No more fights, except for with my conscience and my mind
No more fights with the friends that left,
No more doing what I do not want to,
I am different,
New and evolved,
I’m gone away,
Forever,
You and all my memories are behind me,
Forgotten in the rubbles of my old life,
You will never find me,
My new initials are J.S.
I live in a new place,
And don’t worry bout me.
I’m gone...
Forget me like I have you... |
