» Poem: Mental Blur
Mental Blur
written by Shadowmonkey
02:57 PM 4/16/05
Upon the heights of dizzy lights
A dream floats up and moves on by
I never stood to understand the music of a lullaby
Upon my soul I don’t know why.

I lived so long amongst the trees
Where building grew so fast past me
Yet with them here I shall despair
Upon the jelly in my lair

A toad does croak as he hops by
Sing yet another lullaby
To my ear I do declare is music of a fairer air
Again I say please by my wear.

I stand I wake I look and stare
I lye upon my bed so fair
To dream again I do not wish
My thoughts seem like a mental blur.
