Sad Poem\Year 1950

Birthdays are celebrations,
of growing up another year.
To this little girl,
It was nothing but tears.

Jayden was no more than 4,
When her brother had died in the war.
Her parents said He'd be home soon,
But Jayden didn't agree.
She thought her brother would never come home,
because America would never be free.

The war had ended.
Everyone was reunited.
it was Jaydens 5th Birthday,
Her brother was no where in sight!
Where could he be on this foggy night.

The family was devistated to hear
the news,
A member gone, a member to lose.

The family returned home,
in quite shock.
To see their son sitting,
on the dock.

Jayden ran to him,
Hugging with great power like a flood.
But as she released, she was coverd in blood.
She looked in his eyes.
then down to his hand.
Something was in it,
Jayden hesitated to open it.

Inside was a mere wound.
That only love could heal.
And he hugged her, something anyone could feel.
He wisperd something in her ear.
Happy Birthday, my dear.
