Were they all filled with lies
Why didn’t I see
For all you said, I still hadn’t heard
Truths believed all wrong, came no surprise
Should have let it be
Didn’t want to be chastised
Thought you spoke straight
From your inner being
Thinking you had a heart
It wasn’t to be fate
I blind and not seeing
How with a word you tore me apart |
