I tried to stop this pain,
Tried to make it all go away.
But I only got more,
Now I have more than there was before.
The rain crashes against my bedroom window,
The thunder blasts,
As the lightening strikes,
Leaving me here to feel the Earth's wrath.
I lay beneath my covers,
Watching the rain,
Hearing the thunder,
Catching a glimse of the battle outside.
I lye here thinking of battles,
Battles I tried to fight,
But I was too weak.
I was left in the cold of night.
My own destruction,
Was your perfection then,
But your destruction came first.
I hear another blast of thunder,
I jump,
Remembering it's still there.
The battle outside,
Is much like the one within me.
The thoughts of what to do,
The thoughts of what have been done,
Thoughts of what I wish could be.
But nothing is like the thought of being here,
Without you,
Leaving me alone,
Trying to reach the bone.
Look what you have done,
What you have caused,
What you created.
You showed me this path,
You led me through the wind,
The rain,
The pain,
You showed me how to maintain.
Quickly you showed me how to become you.
Then you left,
But you left me with a fate,
A fate which I cannot escape.
I now lye here,
Under my blanket,
Watching the rain,
Hearing the thunder,
Wondering if I shall ever escape this fear.
You left me here,
With this fear.
You fled,
As I bled,
Watching me die,
Watching as the time passed me by. |
