» Poem: Mirage
Mirage
written by bleedblack
01:23 AM 4/18/05
I see something good in site
and call this place my home
everything seems so perfect
no pain or weakness shown
here the sun is shining
and the water kisses my lips
with the perfect guy by my side
his hands on my hips
the sunlight dances across the field
with not a cloud in sight
everything seems so perfect
nothing there to fright
but as i start to feel ok
everything starts to receed
leaving me here in my room
with everything else to need
so as i look around
i try to chase this life
but the more i chase the more it's consumed
by my own darkness, anger and strife
i had something good within reach
and then it faded away
this is my little mirage
that haunts me every day
