Chances Are...

i think about what i have been through,
and feel the tears start to form in the corner of my eyes.
but you know what?
i'm tired of feeling sorry for myself.
i'm tired of seeking self-pitty.
i look at the scars on my wrist,
and chances are,
someone has more scars, more visible scars.
i think about the memories of rape,
and chances are,
someone has been raped more times, been hurt more by it.
i think about the abuse,
and chances are,
someone has been abused more, been ruined more.
i think of it all,
everything that's happened to me in the past 3 years,
and chances are,
someone has had it WAY worse than me.
so i'm tires of thinking that i have it "so rough"
cuz chances are,
someone has had it rougher. |

| thats a cool poem... haha like not what its about, but its cool that you realise people have been through more than you, coz its so true!! i love your mind... its how people should be more often! keep up that mindset coz itll get you far ;) sorry to hear about what has happened to u in the past 3 years, but i hope u can cmove on positively!! :D :D keep it up :D |
