The Coming
written by DarkRage06:37 AM 4/18/05The quiet meander
Silence scratches at the door
Death seeps up from the shore
Rising to the call of the commander
Drums pounding
Echoes resounding
I hear your heart beating
Blood drains from your face
I hear your heart retreating
Taking you from this place
Muffled words
No one heard
The exhausted answer
To slumber no more
Tearing away at the core
Wrapping all in its cancer
Obscurity forms
Innocence performs
Weaken spirits fly
Soaring no where
Courage dies
Gathering them in despair
When nothing is left to hold
Nothing left; not even the cold |
