» Poem: You're My Memory
You're My Memory
written by intearsforever

The life I left behind,
Remains in my memory within my mind.
But everything,
Back then,
Seemed fine.

Yet I still let it go,
And left the pain below.

Your memory,
Burned within my mind,
Is not something temporary.

I loved you,
I still do,
But I had to go,
In order to push this pain below.

I know,
I am selfish,
I know,
I am worthless,
Forgive me please,
But nontheless,
I love you.

Memories come and go,
But I will forever know,
That I made a mistake,
And for that,
My heart shall always ache.

Forgiveness comes,
and forgiveness goes,
But still,
Day by day my passion grows.

Forgive me,
please,
I won't let this go with ease.

I love you,
These words were never untrue,
But forgive me for leaving,
Forgive me for all I did that was deceiving,
Just forgive me please,
Let us just once again,
Be together in the summer's breeze.

I liked it. It was a bit different from most love poems(breaking up). Good job.
