» Poem: Just A Fantasy
Just A Fantasy
written by intearsforever

The way their shadows danced,
The way they spun round and round,
Was the only way I would never be found.

Every night,
Watching them spin,
Thinking of everything within.

Thinking of pain,
Thinking of every day,
Every day you just wouldn't go away.

My time to escape,
Was the day I'll never regret,
A day I'll never forget.

Watching you chase after me,
While I waved a final goodbye,
Never again would I have to cry.

But this was just a fantasy,
Something I knew would never come true,
Something I could never persue.

My head fills with thoughts and memories,
I try to forget,
But all I have now,
Is your regret.
