Sixteen Today

And only Yesterday, you wanted to play.
Movies, Barbies, Beanie Babies and Bugs
Yes and so many hugs!
My "Little Chatty" Angele girl,
More precious to me than diamonds or pearls.
Happy smile and such a big heart,
Lots of tears, because we are apart.
Dogs, cats and bears, animal lover
So many of them all over the cover.
Stuffed ones of course, too many to name.
Our "special" Homer, not a great dane!
Growing up so fast......
Wonderful memories of our past.
Fun on a snowy day in Conway
Six Flags on a hot day.
Bananas and peanut butter
Our special snack, like no other.
We could never quit....
Without our Braums banana split!
By chance our paths crossed, a short time ago.
My memories of us, far better than gold!
Though not without periods of strife.
You will always be the angel of my life.
Counting my blessings, you are the top.
In my heart, you have a special spot.
Wishing all your dreams to come true.
No one more deserving than YOU! |

I didn't write this poem, but my brother's grandma did for me on my 16th birthday. I turned 16 on 3/30/05. This is pretty much just her thoughts on our past... when life was happy! I havent seen her in about 4 years.
