Phlahooglegodde 4-19-05
written by Dilemma

Trepidation,
Driving me in a barmy situation of frustration.
I desire to stay,
And never voyage away.
I conjecture faith isn’t preordained for us,
My heart encompassed quickly and shattered to dust.
Inquiring the vile hearsays,
Distributed universally by my kin who daresay,
The news I’m hearing reluctantly.

Shut up please,
You’re generating me an original disease.
Why must you put me in an existence of misery?
Right when I find my place is such a great discovery,
You go and take it from me,
And make me suffer and realize life has no guarantees.
You see when I first moved here,
You said your career,
Would last until I could at least graduate.
Now you wait,
Let me live out this promise you made,
And let this devastation fade.
The individual reason I want to stay,
And not move away,
Is for one guy,
I just never want to say goodbye.

Author's footnotes and comments on this Poem:
This poem is about my parents who forced me to move to Alabama 7 years ago and I dreaded it. Now I love it and I really love my boyfriend. He is the only thing I really will miss so much if I have to go away!!!!
