» Poem: Forgotten?
Forgotten?
written by Lady Deathstrike
02:58 AM 4/20/05
A blotchy face reflected in the crooked glass
strands of greasy golden hair
frame the gaunt, haunting face in the mirror
eyes, like shallow sky hued pools,
look startled carrying that lost,
deer in the headlights look
shoulders sag beneath an invisible weight
a burden so great only she can see it
finally, dull eyes trail to the counter
where her face is contorted in the pool of crimson
one shaky hand lowers the razor
to the cipped fermica countertop
the other she inspects with dull interest
a steady stream of blood pumping
from a half moon slice
the dark red clashing violently with her pale ashen skin
her lip quivers
then he is down
sinking to the ground she rocks
steadily, back and forth, back and forth
emitting tortured cries of an animal
trapped inside
and then, wonder of wonders, she cries
liquid moonlight staining hollow cheeks
and she rocks, steadily, back and forth, back and forth
forgotten, it seems, in the chaos of no understanding
and the world, fast spinning, turmoil,
violent before her blurry eyes
rocks her to sleep
there, alone, she finally rests
the grey shadow of death
spinning furiously across her relieved face
forgotten

o.O IDK where that came from...honestly...just random. Is it chilly in here to you?
