» Poem: It didn't stop
It didn't stop
written by intearsforever

The pain you left,
Was not so easy to forget.

The words I heard,
Are not something I deserved.

The times I was thrown against the stairs,
The time I barely missed the things you threw,
The times I knew no one cared.

I wish I would have run away,
Then maybe the pain would have stayed.

But I didn't,
I stayed and let you take your rage out on me,
I stayed as if there was nowhere I had to be.

I hated you,
I hated me,
I just wanted to die and go away.

I just wanted it to stop,
I just wanted the bruises gone,
Even though I knew there were scars you could not see,
I just wanted you to leave me be.

I still loved you,
I just couldn't stand what you put me through.
