» Poem: Star
Star
written by philipmiller

They tell you
that a journey of a thousand miles
begins with a single step.

But what guides that step?
Is it the almighty sun? The mysterious moon?
Or the lone star, hovering above the horison?

I have traveled all my life without a star to follow.
Polaris held no help for me.
I was lost, directionless, aimless.

Then you rose into my view.
At first I took but passing note of you,
you seemed one star amoung many.

But something dragged me back.
I turned my step towards you, and found purpose in my life again.
I know not what force turned my feet.

Perhaps the answer lies with my Star.
