» Poem: Circle of Scars
Circle of Scars
written by cryptic_misery

I shan't tear out the pages
But merely toss out the whole book of lies
And dreams that fill my hollow insides
With an ashen line of cascading paint...
Violent grays and graceful blues of April
Tracing around every detail until
The circle of gaping darkness seals shut
And a reflection of red liquid
Seeps out the seams whence they tear...
The fitted line of junction formed by
This groove made by two fragments of pain
Solidly glued together in which the edges
Remain smooth yet still feeble...
Letting a single thread hang by the last bit
of strength that my body carries...
Virility that only consists of
Timeless scars and endless wounds
The ones that become a disguise
To hide my pasty face in remorse
While aching with fear and stitching up my vivid mastery
Consealing your mistake inside the strongest
And purest organ of life, my heart...
My heart, the barrier of my obstruction..
