Who once lived here
When she was little; what a dear
So much laughter, so much fun
Lived right in this room
Never thought anything was bad
Never thought anything would end
Never thought anything so sad
Dreamed of being famous
Played dress-up
Talked to frogs
Never got mad
Dreamt of wanting more
Then what she had
Never dreamt of closing doors
Alone in a cell
Living in hell
From one mistake long ago
Her father did take
What she fought hard as her right
To give when she wanted
She tried to stay and fight
But all it brought was the hate
Lost in confusion
Living in delusion
Her shattered dreams
What did they mean
When all that mattered
Was now torn and tattered
When would it be
That she saw
I am looking for someone
And that someone is me |
