» Poem: safety pins
safety pins
written by unsure
05:40 PM 4/22/05
safety pins picking at a redened finger,
the rain falling in my eyes,
pain numbing thoughts that tear me apart,
blocking out truth and lies,
moving down my finger now,
and working down my palm,
the pain is getting worse,
but in my soul theres no alarm,
i'm dragging out the process now,
the pin near to my wrist,
i run for sheltered toilets,
as i need water to assist,
as i stand above the public sink,
i take one more look,
the face thats given me so much pain,
and then my life i took.
