» Poem: Broken
Broken
written by Lady Deathstrike
04:08 AM 4/23/05
My heart aches
And static fills the air
I'm still lying here
We're not getting anywhere

What about picnics on Saturdays and dancing in the rain?
Revolving doors, ice cream, and baseball games?

Can gold turn into rust?
Do all good things eventually become dust?

How is it that you loved me yesterday?
Call me crazy, but I didn't think love worked that way

But one who was blind
Can now see
The impossible was true
You took advantage of me

You called me your girl
And you were my man
But I learned now
Love and heartbreak
go hand in hand
