Kelsey's Wish

And blows out her birthday candles
She wonders how her life
Has flown off its handles
She just wants to feel the glow
Of her smile once again
To no longer feel so damn low
Wishing everyday she didn't have to pretend
She thinks to herself
Where did I go wrong
Where is that happy girl that once lived
What happened to the days when I used to belong
She just wants to feel the joy of laughing
From deep inside her mind
To stop hoping, dreaming, second-halfing
But to me she's absolutely divine. |
