Missing slates#
written by Trapezium10:34 AM 8/21/04Missing slates in the roof,
Where the rain falls through,
The gate swings on creaky hinges,
He stares solemnly into his,
His dusty oak mirror,
He sees her face he sees her,
Looking back at him she seems so beautiful,
The warm loving eyes look shameful,
The beauty unmatched the look of loneliness,
He reaches his hand out to confess,
"I love you" he cries,
"Why did you have to die?"
"Why did I have to survive"
"Why am I still alive,"
"Now I know I was right,"
"I will have to die alone tonight,"
She traces his hand and pulls him closer,
"I know," she says "I know you chose her." |

I try to write a poem but every time i do you just crawl into my head... now i reread it it's not dissimilar to a dream i had last night... let's hope it's no premonition  [ View Trapezium's Profile ] [ Go to the Poetry Portal ] This Poem has been viewed 449 times
