rain

as i sit by my window
starring into the dark sky
thoughts are running through my head
they're confusing me
they're making even more thoughts
and im getting even more mixed up
what should i do next
where should i go
who should i be
because in this world people
expect so much from you
sometimes i think they have
expectations too high for me
and i cannot accomplish their
goals that they have set for me
its now raining harder
the thunder is rolling
and my room lights up with
every flash of lightning
this world is like the rain...
sometimes when it falls
its a good thing
because new crops flourish
the ground recieves its wetness
and becomes moist
but also, sometimes when it falls
it ruins peoples' days
for what they have planned
sometimes it falls too much
and then people are flooded out
Thats exactly like some people in this world...
sometimes, when they fall, its good
because they eventually get something good
out of their mistake and something
inside them flourishes
but sometimes a person falls too much
and it hurts other people
and sometimes tears flood
or even blood. . . . . |
