they never knew

a fake smile
and glistening eyes
thats how she lived her life
never to tell the truth
always living a lie
she put on a smile
to hide all the pain
but that would only last awhile
secrets and lies
a fake smile
and glistening eyes
no one ever knew
the true her
they never knew that every
night those glistening eyes
would cry her to sleep
they never knew the pain behind
that fake smile
they never knew her dark
secrets that she hides
and they never knew she was
living a lie
and thats how she will always
live until the day she dies |
