army of spring

in a parking lot of
a quiet VFW in
a quiet town is
where i saw them
multitudes
marching towards the expressway
out from the wheat and
around the houses and
between the trees
the dandelions
millions
and millions and i
paul revere must
warn the small quiet town
of the coming
army of spring |
