Back When

Hopefully this time making good times last
Because Im tired of this emotional disguise
Hiding my pain behind a mask of lies
I want so bad to go back in time
Back to when everything was fine
When the world wasnt falling down in every way
When I wasnt found crying every single day
I dont care if Ill never be the exact same
I surely would have lost if life were a game
I want to go back to my childhood
Live it different the way it should
Maybe I can be able to stand on my own
Now that my weakness has been shown
Everyone now knows what brings me down
What will make me smile or make me frown
I remember when the only time Id cry
Was when I hurt on the outside
Id rather have pain on my elbows and knees
Somewhere that everybody sees
Its so hard to let people know
When your pain doesnt exactly show
Your heart can ache and they cant see the pain
They cant see your emotions slowly drive you insane
Why cant I just go back to back then land?
Im tired of waking up with my head in my hand
This added stress is no fun at all
Im afraid that without a helping hand Ill fall
Without extra help I know Ill fail
I wish my life were like a fairy tail
Everything going well life filled with laughter
Me and prince charming living happily ever after
But that could never happen; we know thats true
Nothing could change that; nothing I could say or do
So I guess ill go on living in this time period
Slowly down the hill of life Ive continuously slid
I wish there was a way to climb back
Thats a place that well never track
So we keep going down wishing to go back up again |
