Corruption (One Man At A Time)

The fear of those secrets being let out,
They spread over the politicians,
It happens one man at a time,
A young boy goes into politics,
He's hoping to make a difference,
He gets into office,
He finds out the secrets held from the public,
Scared of what happens if those secrets get out,
He's being torn up from the inside out,
All the cover-ups,
All the lies,
He'd been raised with a love for his country,
He now understands the truth,
The government is just one big lie,
Made up by hundreds of other lies,
He drops out of office,
He won't tell of the corruption,
He becomes an anarchist,
So eager to bring down what he used to believe in,
Trying to make up for all those lies that tore him up inside,
Trying to make it better,
Trying to make his country truthfully free. |
