» Poem: Long Way Home
Long Way Home
written by DontFearAConcequence
06:11 PM 9/2/04
he broke my heart so easily
i ran out of the house, from him i had to flee
i was going home but not just yet
ill walk around untill im set
i decided to take the long way home
i left in a fit and forgot my phone
i run back to get it but he wont let me in
i start to cry and knock again
he opens the door and throws it out
as i walk off he continued to shout
i try to walk but i cant go straight
the tears have made my sight blurry, my reactions late
i stop to sit and dry my tears
i look back at the past 2 1/2 years
i truly thought he was THE ONE
but now we're over, he had his fun
i let this guy take my virginity
my eyes clear up and i can finally see
i continue to go the long way
when friends and family ask...what do i say?
i have the time to decide
when he dumped me i felt like i should die
this long walk really helps dull the pain
my love for him oddly remains
ill work off the pain and think about our talk
ill think of it all as i continue to walk
