Little Peach
written by angel1dot001:06 PM 9/7/04Little peach seems so cool and sarcastic
She plays the guitar, thinks she can be a star
Skin soft as peaches but her heart is a stone
Everything's wrong, she doesn't know what she's done
She's walking alone
Was it worth the cost of the friends she's lost?
Walking untill dawn
Untill light strikes the skies and the tears in her eyes
Little peach, she's a fighter
Standing alone, facing the world on her own
She says logic is the only mother that she's ever known
"I don't know how love would feel, it ain't real"
She's walking alone
Trying to find what's right amongst the city lights
Through the twilight zone
She smokes some pot to forget what she ain't got
She empties her pockets
to see how much money's left
Her last coins went to pay for the coffee
And she keeps looking
at the cars rushing by below
while the last of her tears falls down
and crashes
crashes...

Did you know there are languages where the word for "song" and "poem" are the same?
Well, this is a song, but lyrics are so much like poetry anyway. [ View angel1dot0's Profile ] [ Go to the Poetry Portal ] This Poem has been viewed 122 times
