The Angel of Death
written by Misery10:31 PM 9/7/04I watch him take the lives of humans from their miserable lives
I watch him let them die peacefully at rest
almost everyday he goes out once or twice
he'll return to me at night with another soul wrapped tight in it's crystal case
watch him return the soul to the gates of another realm
he'll have a new list of souls to set free tomorrow
it never truly changes
a different human he'll set free from this cruel world
or another Dark Creature, or Creature of the Light will return home
I am his Angel
I am his love
yet the day has come, and he's at my door
he's there with an ever grim look on his beautiful face
Death's at my door
but can he take the soul of the only thing he loves from this world?
can he take the soul away from him?
can he bare to take my soul and return it to the Realm of the Undead waiting ground?
where I'll wait my return to the human world, and wait for him to embrace his Angel in his arms and take me home
a tear is in the eye of Death
he holds my soul's crystal case in his right hand
a Tiger-eye with tips of Black Onyx, the crystal case made just for me
he silently cries
he doesn't want to ever have to bring my soul back to the human world after I get to go to the waiting grounds, but still he doesn't want to let me go
the final kiss, with his arms embracing me I go to sleep
I go to rest, yet I know I'll have to return to the human world once again
I'll have to return, and claim the soul of Death himself... |
