One Thousand Roses

How can I love so completely?
A love that tastes so bittersweetly...
A love that pains
A love that stings...
A love that flew on devils wings?
Beauty beaten, such tender killing...
A lustful glance, a passion thrilling...
A beauty burned,
A beauty dead...
A beauty choked and left for dead.
[Chorus]
One thosand roses, all the same...
One million thorns to bring me pain.
A drop of morphine to make me numb,
A splash of blood to take me home.
Why would you whisper so serenely?
Why would you leave and not believe me?
A quiet scream
A silent death...
The final blow of lifes last breath.
Why did you bury this knife so deeply?
Kissed me softly, killed me sweetly?
Eyes that see,
Eyes that lie...
Eyes lie staring at the sky.
[Chorus]
While I stood there, hoping, pleading...
You lay lifeless, gently bleeding.
I only asked...
I had to know...
Why you went and left me so...
You took my knife, if you only knew...
You were my life, you killed me too...
You killed yourself,
And empty shell...
You abandoned me in eternal hell!
