» Poem: War
War
written by Morbid Angel

Why is it always me? What the hell did I do wrong this time? How long will it take for you to see? The blame you point is not always mine. I've tried so hard to tell you, but you never seem to hear, I admit there are bad things I do, But this time I'm being sincere. I think inside you know that it's not always my fault, But you still choose to blame me, you may not realise it but it's emotional assualt, but why don't you just fuck off and leave me, because you've pushed me to the edge, And I will avenge it with my death. Because mum you know how hard I try, You know I don't mean harm, But you still think I'm a freak inside, You don't realise how you make me cry. It's not always my problem, but somehow I'm always linked, And it's not always my wrong-doing, but you put so much pressure on me that I don't have the strength to even blink. Just piss off and get out of my life, it's none of your buisness anymore, You drain away the last of my strength, I can no longer fight this never ending war. With you my life exists as an object of hatred, something for you to shout at, but just remember when you look at me that I am what you created, I was your work and not of satans blood, this is what you produced, what you were supposed to love, but nobody can love me because I'm just not enough, mum it all feeds into my brain, all the hurtful things you say, Can't you see what you have made me become? I wasn't like this until you squashed me under your thumb, you pushed me down and drowned my soul, and now I'm nothing but I'm taking back what you stole, I promise you that I will win this war.
