» Poem: What I've Been
What I've Been
written by Morbid Angel
09:47 PM 10/4/04
What I've been and what I've seen,
So much pain that you did bring,
All the things I said but didn't mean,
I should of stayed in your arms, let you softly sing,
Those perfect words you said to me.

What I've been and what I've known,
Too many unkept hurtful secrets,
Too many broken bones,
I thought there would always be trust,
And now without you I'm so long lost

What I've been and what I was,
None of that is no longer what I am,
What we were might of died,
Back then I might of cried,
But what I've been has been and gone,
But still I lie here all alone
