» Poem: Concrete Highways
Concrete Highways
written by Mars_Phoenix
07:18 PM 10/5/04
Today we walk down concrete highways,
White lines lead us to nowhere
But here;
We sit in our big houses
And eat on dining tables,
Staring at nothing but ....
Something is there lying between the air and
The floor.
And it means more, so much more
Than we could ever know.
Because
It wants more, so much more
Than we are willing to give.

And if you could see it would you go?
Out the backdoor, out the driveway and down the street?
Or would you stay and continue to eat,
Letting what was seen in the space between,
To die and fade like every other day,
That ever came before....
