» Poem: The chain of sickness
The chain of sickness
written by insanebitch2000

Out comes the truth
Of all those hidden lies
Off comes the mask
That covered the empty sighs

My body slowly closes
And locks me within
Covered in the heavy drapes
That hold the evil sin

Tales of abuse
Hidden love affairs
Now I know the reason
For all those hurtful stares

My family is nothing
Just a simple thread
Holding onto nothing
All the life is dead

I was hurt and hit
And all I could do was cry
I didn't have enough power
To make myself die

My father never was true
He cheated and lied
He hit my mother
And held me to his side

I would cry for fear
And try and run away
But the power he had
Forced me to stay

My mother drank
And fell down all the time
I held my thoughts
And acted like a mime

My heart was stolen
From within me
This person took my love
And left me dead for eternity

This person was everything
But this act hurt me so
That finally I knew
It was time to let go

The Chain of Sickness
Tied with weaves of hate
Laughter of evil demons
Coat the chains fate

I watch the chain
Wrap around my throat
Causing me to sing
My final shriveled note

Pinching my skin
The chain pulls tight
This is it
This is the night

The sharp tips of the chain
Slit my arms
Bringing to me
Bodily harms

Pulling back my hands
Tieing my feet
This pain
I wish to never repeat

Strangling me
Cutting my skin
To tell of this hurt
I wouldn't know where to begin

The Chain of Sickness
Has done its deed
It left my lifeless
And used my soul to feed
