» Poem: River
River
written by Morbid Angel

It was that night when we were down by the river, when I wanted to be alone, but you'd rather we were together, you wanted to find out what was wrong. You took advantage of my tears, I think when you held me you had it planned, It felt like I'd been alone for years and suddenly there you were...holding my cold hand. Then you put your arms around me, kept saying how pretty I am, told me to cuddle you properly... You kissed my lips softly, the first time you tried, You held me so warmly, you kissed me as I cried...it was down by the river, that cold and emotional night, it was down by the river, that you kissed away my life. But it was never meant to happen, soon after you forgot my touch, you stopped caring or asking, you'd already got enough...and now that river flows like my tears because I love you still, seeing you holding her like you held me is breaking my heart
