Love Story

Sitting there with music blasting into her ears, oblivious to her surroundings, she stared out of the window. The rain left huge spots on the glass and it was misty, so she only saw the outline of passing fields and electricity lines. She had a table to herself, there was hardly anyone else in her carriage. She had one leg up on the chair and her arm wrapped around it, every now and then smiling at the thought of what would be happening in just a couple of hours. She had risked so much to be sitting there, on that train away from the world she was leaving behind. She felt sick when she thought of what would be waiting for her when she returned. All the arguments and the fighting....she didn't want to face it all. She regretted leaving like that, she wished she would of sorted it out to save herself trouble. She soon cheered up when she got a text from Andy saying he'd finish work for two and wait for her at the station....followed by "i love you so much xxx". With a smile on her face she wrote "Cassie :heart:s Andy" on the window with her finger, feeling like a little girl with her first crush again. She dreamed of being able to be in his arms again, almost a year had passed since they had drifted apart. She hoped things would be perfect. This was her little Cinderella story and she wouldn't let anything get in the way of that.

A couple of hours passed. Soon the passing hills changed into buildings as she approached the city center, and she felt her heart jump with excitement. She put her CD player in her bag and waited for the train to begin to slow before making her way to the exit. Looking at her reflection in the glass panel of the door to check she looked ok, she started to get nervous. What if he suddenly finds me ugly? What if I'm not good enough for him? So many questions went through her mind. The main one being what if he doesn't love me anymore? What if his feelings have changed since the phone calls and the texts...and since a year ago. She felt as if she could never match up to the girl Andy picked over her, as much as he claimed she was the one for him. Her trail of thoughts ended as the train finally came to a halt and she was able to open the door. Stepping onto the slippery platform, she took a long look around and took a deep breath. This is it. My chance to get him back. If he doesn't love me this time then thats it. No more. I can't put myself through any more pain. The familiar surroundings around her bought back memories of a time when she felt like a child, only 14 and so hyper and happy to be there. This time she felt an entirely different emotion. She was scared, yet excited in a weird way. She didn't know wether to laugh or cry. Raindrops fell on her and she began to feel miserable. But she couldn't stand here thinking forever, she had to look for Andy. She wondered into the main station, where all the shops were. She saw the bench where they met last time, where they greeted each other with a little smile and a hi. Those were the days. Not a care in the world except for if your make up looked ok. As soon as she saw him she knew it was him, even from the back. Happiness spread through her and she snook behind him. She recognised the long leather coat. The blonder spiked up hair. She reached out her hand, not intending to touch him, she didn't really know why. She put her mouth right next to his ear and whispered.
"Andy..." Her heart was beating hard. She wondered if he could feel it on his back.
"Cassie." He turned round and smiled. At first they just looked into each others eyes. Even after everything, the twinkle was still deep within his clear blue eyes. It was still there, or maybe it had just come back for her? She was thinking crazy thoughts. All of a sudden she leant towards him and kissed him. All of her doubts washed away and she felt like she was walking on air. Their mouths linked together as if they were made to fit. It was perfect, it was her fairy tale. His hand slipped around her waist and he held her close, his other hand holding hers. She suddenly felt so warm. It was as if they were the only people there. So many people pushed passed, tutting at them standing there kissing, but it was like those people didn't matter. It was just them kissing in a slow motion room. He ended the kiss.
"It's been a while." He smiled.
"It's good to be back." She smiled back. She couldn't stop smiling.
