Hurt
written by Mars_Phoenix05:59 PM 10/11/04I reflect on the shattered window paine,
Broken in pieces like tiny diamonds on the floor,
They glitter with vermillion tips that show my pain,
Dipped in strawberry syrup I want to taste
Each shard on my tongue as I swallow down heartache.
In torn jeans and a grey hoodie I step outside,
Walking on top of a black ocean I refuse to hide
My scars,
And even if you could see them
As your eyes flutter and blink
I'm sprawled on my back in an empty house,
In an empty room,
Filled of damp and shadow,
Eyes dead to the world.
But open your eyes and you'll see me walking,
A face in the crowd you'd never notice,
And these scars there buried within,
I'd never touch my skin with a blade,
The hurt within is more than enough to have made
The planet cry in anger and pain.
Let the cold and damp settle over me like a blanket,
I'll wear it,
Its all I have,
Unless...
Unless you want to...
Unless you would like to...
Walk with me? |
