» Poem: If I Had Known
If I Had Known
written by lost_and_forgotten
07:38 PM 5/29/04
I didn't know you'd leave
And be gone from my life
Never again to be seen
In happiness or strife

If I had known
You'd never be here
I'd tell you I loved you
And hold you near

If I had known
That you would be gone
I'd have done what was right
And not what is wrong

If I had known
I'd no longer see your face
I'd listen to you sing
And memorize your embrace

I never would have yelled
And wished that you would go
I never would have said a word
My love for you I'd show

But now it's too late
You're gone forever
There's nothing I can do
About this sad endevor
