» Poem: Immortality
Immortality
written by Mars_Phoenix

Wake up and shake off stares that burn,
My iris black and white,
Feelings of immortality till we drop down,
Break up and betray,
Go ahead I'll turn my life around,
Pulsing rhythm settles in my veins,
Words scratched into the hollow sound
Of silence filtered through pain.

And I know the hollow all too well,
It fills me up till I choke and spew
It back down my throat;
My heart ceases to break timing,
Pumped up like a shotgun blast it bursts
Through my chest as my head it rests,
On the soil my bed like a grave.

Wake me up before I drown,
And slip back into this tomb,
A cell without bars,
A room without windows.

I've never felt so helpless
Till the night I dreamed this.
