» Poem: Mortality I Choose
Mortality I Choose
written by Mars_Phoenix

We all want to live forever,
Taste immortality as it flows in our veins,
And see the night as it was meant to be.
The veil has been lifted from our eyes,
Skin as white as the moonlight,
You walk like an angel.

And the colours would wrap around her wrist,
Let me sink my love for mortality into you baby,
To taste warmth as it courses through you,
How I miss the warmth of compassion,
They say i'm a pitiful creature void of sense
To the power that lies dormant within,

But they are wrong,
I walk immortal over oceans of darkness,
Across time which is a paper trinket to me,
To be in your arms
I love the sound of your heartbeat,
The pulsing rhythm that refuses to give in,
To my kiss;
Mortality is the greatest gift,
The greatest gift I miss most of all,
If I could have the day back,
If I could have the warmth back
To fill the shattering silence,
I'd let the blood flow from my neck,
Let it spill on your bright new dress,
Let you take me down.
