The Great Play
written by Mars_Phoenix03:24 AM 10/17/04Sometimes i'm scared of taking a breath,
Of walking through this facade of smiling faces
And dirty looks.
Sometimes i'm scared of waking up,
Of facing another perfect golden sunrise,
And sunset.
Sometimes I feel like I should go to sleep,
Dream of her lips against my neck,
And her tears on mine;
I'll fall asleep in the present,
And awake in the past,
For the future it scares me so much with every moment that passes,
I waste a little more time passing through,
A journey im too shook to travel,
But if I knew she was waiting somewhere on the roadside,
I'd walk onto the stage and take a bow,
For my part would be over,
And yours,
Well my friend your part in this play has just begun. |
