*_These Scars_*

Remind me of moments I'd planned
Moments I'd cherish forever
That make me realize that their being would be never
Kneeling infront of you in agony
I recall the truth I chose not to see
Truth that you so unexpectedly kept from me
That caused such pain and gave me doubts of my being
These scars on my wrists
Remind me of moments such as this
Moments like these
That bring me to my knees
Kneeling infront of you in tears
I recall happenings over the years
Things from my past
That didn't last
These scars on my throat
Remind me of moments when I was almost choked
Moments that I was in such depression
That allow me the strength to keep from you my obsession
Kneeling infront of you in pain
I recall that it's all a game
A game I was once in
That forced me to hide the feelings within
These scars on my face
Remind me of moments I was at that dreadful place
Moments that broke my heart
That made me see the lies that I've been told from the start
Kneeling infront of you in regret
I recall the day we met
The day I loved you so
That never made me think I'd have to let you go |
