Old Before My Time
written by Morbid Angel02:22 PM 11/7/04Looking through a window to my pain,
Outside the children laugh and play,
My mind runs in circles.
Asks the same things all over again.
Ask myself a question,
What made me become this anyway?
Trying to think back to the moment,
When my eyes began to age.
Watching children play,
Those were the days,
Remember them always,
Age you will defy,
Don't ever let yourself die,
Old before my time.
Life wasted away searching for substance,
We're clouded in by foggy haze,
Now all I am is dreaming,
Jumping in puddles, singing in the rain,
Sprinkled by the fountain,
Running through this timeless maze,
Sprinkled by the water...
These dreams won't ever fade.
Watching children play,
Those were the days,
Remember them always,
Age you will defy,
Don't ever let yourself die,
Old before my time. |
